Darden captures first place in the 2006 J-80 Worlds
at Corpus Christi, Texas. Glen Darden out-gunned fellow texan
John Kolius to win by a strong 8 points. While not a record sized
fleet of 34 boats, the leadership was deep with notable champions. Max
Skelley of Ullman/Skelley Sails served as tactician for the Darden team and
developed the new J-80 Mainsail and Jib that powered them to victory..
Jeron Den Boer wins 2006 J-22 Worlds.
Forty Three J-22's gathered in Quiberon, France for the 2006 J-22 World
Championship. Jeron Den Boer took first place while last years world's
winner, Tjarco Timmermans finished third. Both of the Dutch sailors used
Ullman/Skelley Sails. U/S sails have won the last three J-22 World
Championships.
Peter Rebovich's Cal 40, Sinn Fein
took 1st place in Class 1 of the 2006 Newport to Bermuda Race.
Peter also won the Lighthouse Trophy for best overall performance in the ORR
fleet. Sinn Fein used a near complete inventory of Ullman/Skelley Sails.
John Podmajersky wins Mumm 30 Lare Erie Championships. Cleveland Ohio__ John Podmajersky and his Mumm 30, Illusion win the Lake
Erie Championship for the Mumm 30 Class held July 29, 30, and 31st, and
hosted by Lakeside Yacht Club in Cleveland Ohio. The event delivered
challenging conditions with the 11 races being run in light oscillating
breezes, the three day event saw winds from 4-13 knots with the majority of
racing taking place in the 6-9 knot window. Illusion came out on top
after ending the first day of the event in 3rd place. The fleet of
seven boats consisted of some of the toughest competitors on the Great Lakes
as the top spot shifted each day of the event and the point spread for the
top 5 boats remained tight throughout the regatta. Illusion is powered
by Ullman/Skelley Sails. Crew consisted of Max Skelley, Ron Weed, Scott Kulp,
Nan Walker, Tim Fetsch, Cynthia West and John Podmajersky. |

Tijarco
Timmermans wins J-22 2005 Worlds. On Friday July 8th 2005, the Dutch Team Magic Marine (Tjarco
Timmermans, Jurjen Feitsma, Fanny van Leeuwen and Ivan Peute) became World
Champion in the J22 class. After an impressive series of results, the four
did not need to sail the final race of the Gaastra J22 Worlds. The team used
a full inventory of Ullman/Skelley Sails. This is the second year in a row
that U/S sails have won the J-22 worlds. |

Hugh Bethel on Jester wins
J-105 Class at 2005 Annapolis Nood.
Hugh Bethell finishes first with a strong 7
point lead. Consistency paid off with no finishes higher than ninth. Veloce
and Mirage finished second and third respectively. Seven of the top
ten skippers used Ullman/Skelley sails in this fleet of 30 boats. |

Neil Sullivan on M-Fatic
wins Melges 24 class at 2005 Nationals/Annapolis NoodNeil Sullivan tops the day with 1st place in
the Melges 24 Annapolis Nood, which was also the Melges 24 Nationals. Along
with crew, Morgan Reeser, Carl Anderson and Max Skelley, M-Fatic finished 20
points ahead of the second place boat. The crew spent Wednesday and Thursday
prior to race day testing a new Ullman/Skelley jib which proved to be
nothing short of ....M-Fantastic! |

the top 10 J-105,s at Key West 2005 used U/S Sails
in this 40 boat
fleet. Congratulations to Masquerade the overall winner. Masquerade used a
new U/S class spinnaker. Once again Jimmy Doane on Flame was in the
limelight with a strong second place. 7 of the top ten boats used U/S Sails. |

Alec Cutler
wins J-22 2004 Worlds. Alec Cutler, Max Skelley, Chris Crockett, Tim Hochkiss and Ron
Weed, fresh from a 3rd in the J-24 Worlds, win the East Coast
Championship in Annapolis, October 28 thru 30th.

U/S Sails take 1st,2nd,3rd,4th at
2005 J-105 NA's. Glen Darden won the 2004 J-105 North Amerecans held in Buzzards bay.
Glen used an Ullman Spinnaker in his inventory. Second, Third and Forth
place boats used full inventories of U/S sails in this 51 boat fleet. 6
of the top 10 boats used U/S sails. |

Chris
Crocket takes 3rd place in 2005 J-24 worldsCongratulations to Chris Crockett and team members, Max Skelley, Alec
Cutler, Tim Hochkiss and Ron Weed. In a regatta both light and shifty
to wind and waves, Flying Squirrel's position was never lower than 11th. 75 International Teams traveled to Noroton Ct. to
participate in perhaps the toughest J-24 regatta of the year. |

Deke Klatt wins J-24 2004 North Americans.
Congratulations to Deke Klatt
and crew on board "Jaded" for winning the 2004 J-24 North American
Championships this past week. Thirty-Four top competitive teams
competed at the Royal Vancouver Yacht Club in British Columbia.
Representing the Ventura Yacht Club, Jaded finished 4 races in the top3,
including 2 bullets. Deke's crew included David Paudler, Lane
Desborough, Bruce Labins, and Avery Stewart. They sailed the regatta
with a complete inventory of Ullman Sails.
